Today students began their Facebook project.  They will create a mock Facebook page for a person in history.  My first two classes will research men from seventh grade standards.  My last two classes will research men from sixth grade standards.

This week we have wrapped up our Alphabet books.  These were books based on Africa and Asia (seventh grade standards).  Students had to find a word to match with each word in the alphabet.  They then had to find two facts and a picture to go along with the term they had choosen.

Next week - the LAST WEEK!!!! - we will create posters that look like mock Facebook pages.  They will choose a historical figure to create a page for.  They must have a profile photo, status updates, and friends based on what that person would have if they lived in today's time period.

*The other sixth grade classes will be watching this movie for the first time.  Many of my students have asked to watch it again
